In case you missed it, Adrienne Bailon is the new cover girl for Latina Magazine, a dream she’s always had since she was a child. But that’s not what is making news— it’s her thoughts on her relationship with Rob Kardashian that are making headlines. And of course, Kim Kardashian’s reaction.
In the article, which was released online yesterday, Adrienne Bailon told the interviewer that the “Kardashian label” has been hurtful to her and to her career. Kim, who was obviously mad about it, tweeted this morning in response:

In layman’s terms, she’s basically implying that the world wouldn’t know who Kim Kardashian was if it wasn’t for her sex tape.
To Adrienne Bailon’s credit, she does have a show coming out, The Real, which did extremely well in ratings during its test run. That in itself should make her cover worthy. The fact that she still has to answer questions about Rob 6-7 years after the relationship is over kind of confirms that the relationship has had an effect on her career. Whether it’s been positive or negative may be subjective.
Sidenote: The Kardashians should know the game. Sharing their personal lives has always been a huge part of what has made them interesting and so popular. They have launched different business ventures outside of their reality show, but Kim’s brand and popularity has always been centered around the famous men she has been linked to. The biggest debate is whether or not Kim would have snagged covers, and if her brand would have been so huge if it wasn’t for her famous exes.
